Waspinator sig not purifying all debuffs

I was using a 2* wasp in arena, against motormaster, he did his s3 and sat on me doing lethal damage triggering wasps sig to revive, however, I still had some debuffs when the battle continued.
The lethal blow was the squash part at the end, not the headbut part. Otherwise I would have died a second time on the final hit.
