I don't know about you guys, but of late, I have had quite a bit of luck obtaining characters sometimes right after they have been announced. Back in December, a few days after the Megatron spotlight missions have been released, I got a Megatron crystal from Kabam as an apology (which was strange since nothing happened), and when I dragged it into the chamber and tapped the screen at a random part of the shuffle, the crystal stopped at a 4 star Megatron!
And for characters obtained minutes or a day after the missions were released, I got Blaster and Cheetor easily thanks to the 4 star bot duplicates I received, which gave me 10K bot chips for each character when they were available.
