Tantrum chips for Jazz dupes?

If I buy Jazz from the store on Friday (or Thursday afternoon for that matter) and dupe him from that purchase, will I get Tantrum chips?

    Make sure you cash in those Jazz chips on Thursday after he is taken out if store then put back for a few hours.

    somehow I got 1250 Tantrum chips last week.

    thanks I wasn't paying attention and was just going through my inventory and was like how did I get those. :)

    Calendar reward makes sense, more sense then having a mission completion alliance event with no spotlight mission to run. They pushed Tantrum back but left everything else in place.
