AM: Point Correction for Difficulty 66+ and Milestone Point Adjustment

As some of you are aware, some time ago, we discovered an issue that was causing problems with points scaling in Alliance Missions on Difficulty 66 or higher (thanks to you super sleuths out there!).

At the time, we applied a temporary fix that applied all of the additional points that would have dispersed among encounters on the Map to the final Boss. This wasn’t the best or most elegant fix, as an Alliance would have to make sure they cleared the final boss, or else not get any of the points that they would have earned along the way.

We are happy to announce that starting with the Alliance Mission series that commences tomorrow, this issue has been rectified, and you will now be getting the proper amount of points from every fight instead of just the boss fight. This means that Alliances that are not able to finish the entire Map and defeat the boss are still earning the correct amount of points, and are in fact earning more than they are used to.

However, when we added these points to the Boss, we overcompensated for the amount of points we were supposed to add, so when this fix comes into effect Alliances will notice that repeating the same map that they are used to will result in slightly less points than than previously earned. This should be approximately 4% at Difficulty 100, and close to 0% on Difficulty 66.

To compensate for this, we will be lowering the points required to obtain the top Milestones in Alliance Missions. Why only the top Milestones? Because while we looked at the performance of all Alliances and tuned the Milestones to those metrics, the top Milestones are the only ones that were affected by Map Difficulty 66 and above (assuming 4 days at the same difficulty).

Milestone 17: Dropped from 2,244,000 to 2,150,000
Milestone 18: Dropped from 2,640,000 to 2,500,000
Milestone 19: Dropped from 3,240,000 to 3,100,000


Remember, this bug only affected the Shattered Lands Map on Difficulties 66 - 100. This Fix will have no effect on any Alliance that ran maps under Difficulty 66.

  • While we’re on the topic of Alliance Missions, the team has encountered an issue with the returning of Gold to Alliance Treasuries. They are still working on it, and expect to have the gold back in your Treasuries by the time Alliance Missions kick off tomorrow.

  • Update: We figured out the situation causing a delay in the return of gold, and are just about to start returning gold to your Treasuries. Please note that there will not be any message to accompany this, you'll just find the gold back in your treasuries. You will have the gold back in time for the next Alliance Mission.

    About the points, can I also ask, why do the points differ across BGs? Is time taken to complete AM also a factor? Or advantage fights vs non-advantage fights?

    I think it is the fighting time not the map completion.

    While you are adjusting the milestone points, can you please also adjust the rank rewards? The rank rewards are really a joke. We don’t really need T1As, we have plenty expiring in stash with no gold to use them, also so much easier to get them from raids than AM. Isn’t AM supposed to be a key competition in the game? But yet it makes much more sense focusing on raid special items events and spotlight mission completion instead.

    I agree. AM reward have fallen way behind.
  • As has been stated before, AM rewards are in the 100% exploration daily rewards. If you feel like you shouldn't be getting t1a, go run diff 66+. That's t2a daily plus the milestone and no t1a except milestones.

    Eh I don’t think you get what we are asking. We are asking for rank rewards to be updated. We run, eh some levels above D66, and collect all 19 milestones. After all that, when you get your rank rewards, it’s like here’s some T1A and a tiny fraction of T3Bs. Depends on how Kabam wants to position AM I guess. If it’s supposed to be something desirable that makes alliances want to achieve that “status” on the leaderboard, the rewards have got to go up. Otherwise it’d be like, well done you just won like your kid’s kindergarten coloring contest, instead of the global competition of best TFTF players. :|
  • Prefer the rewards aren’t weighted to rank tbh.
    If it’s all rank, then the same ppl get everything week after week, and everyone else gets squat. If it’s based on Ms or level-completion, then at least you can move up at your own pace.

    Rank is nice for benchmarking, but it kinda blows for a main pillar of rewards in a game like this. At least, that’s my view. But maybe I’m lacking in bloodlust, hehe
  • Either way the top alliances will always be ahead increasing rank rewards just let other people have a couple of r4s.

    Points fixed so far check, points still wrong on minis, rhinox pays normal and galv pays double still

    Well as it stands, we have no desire to chase for rank rewards since they are pretty meaningless. So we are just happy achieving milestones. When there’s nothing worth fighting for, then it just seems time to move on to the next game.
