feedback/suggestion: Gifting energon and crystals to each other

I can understand why you don't let us exchange but I don't like it but I can understand why you don't let us do it.

But it would be extremely cool if you let us give energeon cubes, crystals (not necessarily character crystals) to each other, from my point of view it would be nice as an alliance leader to be a good of reward hard work. Celebrate personal events in milestones within our own Alliance.

maybe it's someone's birthday

When a new member comes aboard it would be nice to give them a little bonus incentive for them to say join our discord so they can become more integrated into the game.

Add players more integrated to the game means they're likely to stay playing the game longer and for you possibly spending more money.

If you're possibly worried about which players just giving money to poor players aside from the fact that money still being spent you can always limited to a certain amount.

Or if you really hate this idea Kabam, perhaps Give us as Alliance leaders more tools to reward positive attitudes or amazing feats so we can basically reward and award are teammates that we have led into battle.

The Alliances a small so it wouldn't need to be much. Even if something small being able to make someone's name stand out if we nominated them is member of the week for example.

There's lots of reasons why I think gifting would be cool

I'm sure it's already been mentioned but PVP would also be cool. If your framework can support it.

Thanks for reading

It can be done with restrictions. And I think OP has described some of those. I like the idea of alliance building with some gifts/rewards since the actual AM rewards are just like everybody says.

The title of this should be "Gifting energon and crystals to my alt accounts" because that's exactly what will happen.

Someone will always bring this up every month so there's no point in trying to convince them what a bad idea it is.

No matter what checks and balances you try to put into play, there is always a way to break the game economy with trading/gifting.

The only conceivable way to do this is to create a marketplace where items are sold for no less than minimums set by kabam, and it takes too much development and maintenance to make it successful.

It also does absolutely nothing to improve their bottom line, so there is zero motivation to create trading or gifting of any sort.

    Give it up already.
  • I don't think Apple allows it. Like the having to publish the loot box drop rates thing. The other TF game that shall not be named used to have the ability to gift crystals, but they had to remove it per Apple's policy of not allowing that when they added the drop rates to the crystals.

Ok ok I get the idea about dupe accounts, I've seen that in other games and yeah it happens a lot, but there are ways around this, like what if there was a special crystal for example that was only given to Alliance leaders the alliance leader could not open it themselves, the alliance leader would have to have been an alliance leader for a set amount of time and could only be given to members that have been with your alliance for a set amount of time.

Make the crystals smaller number but a moderately decent reward.

And they can be open by nobody but who you give them to.

I'm just spitballing here is some ideas even that would have to be fine tuned, and yes I have seen this kind of thing abused like other people have mentioned.

But I have also seen it work really well in some other games.

How I would even be happy to pay for these special " reward" crystals .

I still stand by this and I would really like to see implemented in some fashion.

If the right parameters was set around this, yes there will always be people that find a way around it too, exploited.

But if the rewards were only moderate and in small amounts it's more about rewarding a certain member of making them feel special rather than giving them some op amazing thing, yes you can run Alliance is fine without these kind of things but they do make Alliances and groups a lot tighter I'm more interesting even if it was just a special title we gave them, like member of the week for example.

    Also as an alliance leader I can take on officers but it would be nice if we had one more rank below officers, as ideally I only want myself and two offices but there there are at least two other people in my alliance that really deserves some higher standing than they do but not quite officer level, so imagine you have;
    1 leader
    2 Officers
1-3 [new term] lieutenant, moderator, specialist what ever you want to call them.

I do understand people's hesitation as I said above as a lot of things can be exploited but multiple accounts but I still think this is worth looking into.

It would also be nice if we had a area of 3-5 members that were below level 20 but didn't count to order 18 members, at The Lost Light, We like to encourage new members so they haven't room to grow but we can never take on more than around 5 at the absolute most because then it severely caps the amount of damage we can do during Alliance missions.

It would be nice if we had a kind of grooming area if you like, where say 3 to 5 members that will be low level 20 can grow and we can bring them into our main group, if they prove they deserve a place of Us and start taking place in Alliance missions and the like, have I strongly believe that new members deserves a place to be it's just every few we take on means we lose a few people partaking an alliance missions.

It's just a few things I've been thinking about as an alliance leader and I would appreciate other people's input as they have done above.

I'm glad to see that some people have like the ideas so I've put forward so far I appreciate that guys and I also appreciate the guys that have put their concerns in although a little bit less Spice with some of them would be nice.
    Thanks everyone

It's not gifting or trading in the traditional sense, there are plenty of extremely successful games that have a special item, that only Alliance leaders can give out, saying it can't be done is a little narrow minded, regardless of whether my idea is bad or good, there must be something that can be done that makes running an alliance more fun for the people in the alliance as these games as fun as they are, are a grind and eventually players drop off the more community interaction there is the better.

And I stand by that so you can tell me to give it up already but I'm not going to.

Good job I'm on Android then joking aside this is a much more constructive answer on why this sort of thing might not be possible thank you

Kabam has seen the abuse of gifting crystals in MCOC. They don't allow that same mistake to happen in TFTF. They saw their mistakes in mcoc and are trying to prevent them in TFTF.

Ok that makes sense, thanks for that information, I was not aware of it.

The only way to make trading/gifting non exploitable is to create a marketplace with minimum selling values set by and managed by Kabam.

Players would put their items up for sale on the market, and kabam is the intermediary.

This is never gonna happen, because they would be putting resources into a system that reduces their profit margin.

    The end.

No you're right, but my post was never about trading, who is about giving Alliance leaders more tools to interact with our alliance.
