I have being use ratchet for a period of time. Since it have be nerf. I was thinking can we upgrade him abit so that he can perform better. Now he is really weak.

I don't either get it either. Mirage, Rhinox, and Shockwave are inarguably better, both outputting higher damage (with Mirage getting a stunlock chain of his own) and better able to avoid/tank Demo specials that Ratchet simply has no way to survive. Emergency Repair is a great idea, until you realize that Ratchet has no way to burn enemy power and a single hit is all most Demos need, especially at high level play. Ratchet is genuinely good...if you play PERFECTLY. Otherwise avoid him.
Here's the problem... You want the shock to trigger even while blocking, but you don't understand how terrible that would translate in a fight against Ratchet at high level AI.
Have you fought a high level Ratchet lately? On some mods he is maddeningly difficult to KO. adding shock through block on ranged attacks would make him super OP.
you could stack an infinite number of shocks with him that way.
There are better ways to make him hit harder.
Make it like Rhinox where he gets a melee attack buff while the opponent has a shock debuff active (instead of bleed).
I understand. But at least kabam should make something that upgrade him. Instead of just let him be like this. Right now I feel like he is just a bot that can heal only, he is really to kill. To AI or to us.
His power gen is pretty decent when under 50% health.
You have to understand that Kabam looked at this strictly from the metrics of what top performing AM players were doing with him to know why they had to do it. Having gotten better at the game over the past year I've played it I see now why they had to do it and can say it was the right call.
I always wish he was stronger but I agree with you @Synthwave. If you know how to use him, he’s amazing.
Kabam though designed map 3 to make players less reliant on Rat. If they didn’t, they might have nerfed him again
Don't forget Chapter 2 of Legends of Cybertron; utterly worthless there too with that Jurassic Spark mod. Old Pillow Paws just can't seem to keep that meter down lol.
The higher the sig the higher the emergency repair rate kicks in and honestly even if you are a perfect fighter you can’t beat lag or glitches and that sig alone has saved me countless times. Granted mine is over 80 but 5 is still a savior. I would rather fight 4 mins against wasp and not die then fight him in 2 mins and die and have to revive. Plus honestly he isn’t that weak if you use sp3 in fact his sp3 with the crit boast and the proper masteries is down right scary

Whatever it is Ratchet only needs one combo to die at high level AM/missions.
Ratchet has great survivability at high level AMs but it is important to have him highly forged.
hes very underwelming compared to what the other tech bots have to offer ratchet is very un metta shock wave is better rinox is better and mirage is better blaster is better
in your opinion we should probably all shimmy that tech shark right on up too
Actually... ratchet’s heavy does not have to land to trigger his regen/power gain. It just can’t get interrupted.
You're on to something here.
Giving ratchet some kind of resistance until he goes under 50% health, then it flips to healing.
Or make all debuffs 50% less effective when at 70% health or less.
Just a little more survivability and better chance at getting your heal going before you melt
Lets you play that ranged/stun game and still make a few mistakes.
He would be a like god and Even prowl and rhino would be unable to tackle him if He is a Master Boss in third chapter with buffed healing and last ditch repair.
Mirage is great, don't get me wrong and has a lot more versatility than other specialist bots, but he's still a specialist who shines against certain bots. Ratchet Balboa, on the other hand, can go the full 12 rounds with someone like a Grindor and then still come back for the sequel.
