  Noticed that too. Got me a bit worried. Duping my 4* is a bit dependant on those extra chips...

  Sending out an in-game message now to everyone who participated in the arena, granting the 2250x Chips that would have been gained if the "double chips" was actually "double chips". If you participated in the Arena, you should get it within the next 30 minutes.
  
  We just checked all 7 Double Chip Arenas, and it seems to have just been the milestones in that one day.
