Artwork: a study of Windblade

Two weeks ago I post my first piece of original artwork with my bust of Megatronus. The creative bug never left me. So, I decided to try my hand with a new subject. As such, I made my second original bust, based of course on her in-game design.

I showed this to a friend of mine who promptly said, "that's neat, where is the rest of her?"
.......
Challenge accepted. So I reworked the bust and finished her out. Making a few changes to accommodate the rest of her body and a few changes to the original piece that I felt needed changing.

While the statue of her looks good, it just didn't set right with me. Something was off, and I went about making a totally new design.

Anywho, just felt like sharing my hard work with all of you.
See you all in a week when I post the Scorponok Spotlight maps.

May your claws always strike true!

Do you just draw them with hard work, over again in different posses,,, or you use a "3D" model of her "2D art", or such?

@SparkShredder I build a wireframe model first, that I make line by line. For the last one, I took a screenshot from the information screen and then did my best to build the same thing. There are diferences, but a lot of it is my interpretation of what I was seeing.

What's the trick to art? Is it an afro, facial hair, and a brush to beat the devil out of?
