Hidden stats again

Bringing up the topic again....
Does each bot has a different defense rating? When can we actually get Kabam to show this to players? Why is this a secret kept by the game? It’s one of the most obviously important stat when considering ranking up bots.
T4C is so precious, I don’t want to invest it into paper bots....a few hits and u are gone. But testing it out is very difficult........
Or was I completely wrong? There is either no hidden defense stats or the difference is so small that it doesn’t matter?

What defense stats? You mean health ratings...
Yes ofcourse each bot has different health ratings, also depends on your mastery setup ... I thought you were not a rookie to be asking this.
Yes I mean armor or crit resistance or any other hidden stats. I searched forum it has been asked multiple times before
he's probably talking about all the other stat that can't be seen, like on the other game from Kabam that shouldn't be mentionned
They have everything, block proficiency, crit rate, crit damage, and the list goes on
What do we have ? Health, Attack
Sweet !
To my knowledge, primal and grindor are the only bots who naturally lower/eliminate crit rates, not including masteries.
I believe, and may be wrong, that all brawlers have a passive 10% armour buff that’s a hidden stat, separate from any additional passive armour buffs that are stated in description (grindor, tantrum).
The only truly hidden stats I can think of are crit rate and damage, block proficiency, block penetration (since grindor’s crit rate debuffs reduce block proficiency, I’ll assume that’s a thing), and the mathematics behind what attack rating actually means, unless someone can work it out, because I can’t. A single hit, medium, light or heavy, never seems to be exactly the attack rating of the bot.
Anything else should be stated in the bots description. Like you said, this has been brought up before, so I wouldn’t get your hopes up for a result here.
Edit
@Celt beat me to it, but I started typing before he posted. Never mind.
To be honest, I do not care about the stats or numbers in themselves at all. What I care about is some kind of comparison between numbers to understand how strong or how squishy a bot is.
For example, kickback no matter how good he is, I will not raise him up cuz he is too squishy to me.
I have a hot rod at rank 3/5. I love his anti evade, but in general I find him too squishy to be a good squad member
For my purpose of post, I want to know for example how much armor/defensive difference is between hot rod, drift, scorponok so I can make some decision which one to rank up 5/5 5*
I guess the ultimate way to know for sure is to raise them all to 5/5 with 4* and do a in game comparison, but not everybody has to time to raise the 4* version to 5/5 and find a meaningful fight to compare
Also that brings back the topic of sandbox testing mode again........
It does matter though, as the likes of crit rate differ from bot to bot, not from class. Arcee has the highest natural crit rate of any warrior, and the likes of ironhide and mv Megatron don’t crit at all on melee without mastery altering the crit rate, while tronus, galvatron etc can for demo’s. This is crucial info that could make or break a decision to change mastery setup, or choice to rank up a bot at all.
It’s easy enough to know that drift will crit more than bludgeon, for example, but by how much, is helpful info. It’s easily publishable by kabam, and as @Celt mentioned, it’s in the other game. Block proficiency is a high factor due to parrying and stuff, alongside other champs that require crits for a particular action to activate.
Knowing is half the battle. Knowing by how much the stat is altered is the other half. And we could do with knowing this. I hate to drag mods into conversations, but @Kabam Vydious is there any way we could have this info in game? The likes of drift/arcee vs bludgeon crit rate is noticeable, and also plays into synergies like swordmasters. Could the team look at adding this into the game for us?
You're gonna find that at high levels of play, defense rating won't matter.
One combo and you're dead anyway. Maybe 1.5 if you use Grindor or Bludgeon.
Special skills are what make the difference. Mirage and Rhinox can tank special attacks, for instance. Dino, mix and JF can take zero damage on well timed blocks when paired. Armour piercing, resistance nullify, etc.... These things are worth more than any defense rating.
This is the reason why so few elite players invest in defense masteries. They just don't influence the outcome of a battle the way attack does.
That’s what I keep telling people. Utility/abilities is most important. Defense, even damage is not that important. In long fight like rotk or 120 AM, even megatronus gets one shot. Mirage, og megatron, rinox, Wheeljack, any bot that has great damage mitigation are always go-to bots to rank up.
Even Optimus prime is bad for difficulty bot/mod encounter cuz his defense alone is far not enough, and his heal can barely heal past more than 50/60%...one bot combo or special takes more than 60% of his hp....
Guess the only usefulness to know the defensive or other stats in numbers is for new players that are still struggling with master spotlight
Btw, I am going to use glass cannon mastery
Yeah man I saw your post first thing when I did some post searching
While a bot may be 'squishy' like Manthro said armor and defense really don't matter. The art of this game is not to get hit. While everyone does, you strive not too.
Hot Rod is a top notch bot vs evade routes and his crits and stun are super fun!
Did someone compare drift to Arcee crit wise? Lol.
I have seen one people max forge hot rod, but for some reason everybody take drift......so I don’t know man, is drift truly better?..
I compared drift and arcee to bludgeon. Both of whom have noticeably higher crit rates than bludgeon, synergies not included.
I’ll agree defence and armour aren’t really a MAJOR factor, but stuff like crit rate, crit damage and other hidden stats are obviously making players curious. Otherwise what’s the point of telling us a synergy or mastery increases the crit rate if we don’t even know the crit rate to begin with?
That’s awesome mate. In another of my favourite games they have this feature it’s very nice to compare champions to each other.
HP gain is generally 20-25% from 0 to max forge.
It's not small when you look at it that way.
Can I expect my optimus to have 4k rating when he is max forged? I'm about 100 pi away and 22 levels to go Sig 13
Is this a 4* or a 5* r4 or r5?
Drift is a good bot, dont get me wrong. But imo arcee and rod are better bots. Arcee bleed is way superior and rod being a complete evade specialist is better then drift as he does both ok. As soon as they FIX arcee sig she will he head over heels better then both of them.
4* R5 max level
