Suspected bug with the power gain inhibitor item for arena fights.

I think there is a serious problem with the boost that drops opponent power gain by 20% in arena fights. I used one and my opponent gained power like crazy, while my own power went up very slowly.
I think the inhibitor does the opposite of what it states, perhaps even worse. My opponents were reaching their special 3 after I hit them with 2-3 normal hit combos. In that same length of time, with me landing all the hits (10-15 normal punches), I didn't reach my special 1. Crazy!
Needless to say, I wanted to use this boost to get me past the 13-15 death matches, but it stacked the odds against me instead.
So disappointed.
