Raid tower radar

Can anyone confirm what this means? There's a sort of radar wave image coming off the raid tower and it isn't usually there. Does it mean I'm not in the raid pool? Or the other way around? Or something else or nothing at all?

    That means you've got a notification, probably someone has attacked you. Tap it and you should find out

    What he say, it means you got raid.

    Being a level 47 you should have know what it means XD

    I've never seen it before. Usually when you get attacked there's a red number there telling you how many ppl attacked you. Are you certain this is the same thing?

    Ever since the patch, I've noticed a delay between when you check something and when the notifications vanish. It could be the animation is lingering even when there is no longer any new notifications.
