If you think it isn't clearly labeled as a gamble, then you have legit grounds for complaint. But it looks very obvious to me and always has, so I don't think it'd go very far.

The only real issues I can see with crystals are that the "buy additional" button sneakily appears in the same place with similar appearance as the "use existing" button, so it's very easy to accidentally buy and open crystals you didn't want.

Other than that, there may be consumer protection laws in some jurisdictions about implied verse actual odds of winning a thing, but that would be a trickier case to argue.

There is one case along those lines proceeding in Australia right now, but it's against pocker machines (Crown Casino and Aristocrat are co-defendants), not in-game RNG style chance things. Kabam should take a close look at that ruling when it comes out, but it won't affect them directly regardless
