I know the crystal carousel is for show, and that the reward is decided before you even tap to stop it. One of the reasons I know that is because the little "box" icon shows the number of items received, even if the carousel is still spinning. So if I put in a Premium Hero Crystal, fire it up, and it immediately shows that there's 3 or 4 items in the box, it means I got a duplicate bot which translated to 2 or 3 ORE and some gold... if it had just showed 1 item in the box, then I got a new bot.
So could the dev team just fix that to show the box number only when the crystal's content are revealed to the player? You know, preserve the occasion and all that.
