Arena for sharks

So I recently noticed that when fights the sharks in arena if I win the first two matches but lose to s1000 I don’t get any shards. But if I lose the first two matches and win vs s1000 I get the shards. Is this how it is meant to be?

    Yep the in game mail specifically says the shards are for beating s1000.

    Yea but on forums it’s says when you defeat the “shark attack team”. Just didn’t know which is the right one

    you get bonus points in the Shark Arena alliance event for beating the team. And if you beat the s1000, you get bonus points and shards.
