Map Environments - Will we not be seeing this?

So, is this off the table now? I really liked the direction you guys were going with before with environments as such as this. Looked busy, expansive, EPIC!

Orrrrr was this just a way to market the game and make it look interesting???

I don’t know if I want a feature that doesn’t add to the gameplay, but also drains the battery more than it already is.
