Suggestion - Leadership Class

We need a leadership class. To put MV1 and Monkey Prime in the same class as Grindor is insulting...same with other classes...Megatron/Starscream, etc. Movie Megatron and Waspinator are NOT remotely alike.
A leader class could include team leaders..ie Motormaster, Grimlock, maybe Razorclaw/Scrapper if we get them...of course the Prime's, Galvatron, the Megatrons, etc....the leaders if their perspective groups...even Ultra Magnus.
Either this or a leader node/mod in the base. Let it boost natural stats by a percentage. None of these crazy God like abilities we see and hate in story modes, but say a 50% boost in armor/attack, and maybe an extra evade chance. We need to introduce the unfair advantage. As of now, in the most skilled hands, each bot is as good as the next. Motormaster for instance....he's supposed to be a monster. His feet in Canon are the size of Prime's torso. Same with Grimlock. He's supposed to be able to best Prime in sheer brute Force. The Transformer universe has SO much depth, let's bring it in. Let's do something to reflect that

Where are you getting this idea about Motormaster's size?? In the G1 cartoon they were about the same size. Maybe you're thinking about when Motormaster combines with the Stunticons to form Menasor? In that case yes, Prime is puny.

Why not? People are steamrolling through bases of 25k+. Raids just aren't challenges anymore.

Motormaster, in his original form, it truck and trailer. The cartoons aren't much about size but in the actual stories he's huge. Look at his wiki.

Check your history again. Motormaster made his first appearance in the comics WELL before the cartoons...and as for deviations...every generation is a new deviation. Seems there is no "true" story. Why even argue the point? He was a truck and a trailer. That's over a 53' difference in length from Optimus Prime.

Ummm.. Optimus Prime was also a truck and trailer in G1.

His trailer was a mobile command and attack centre.

I've been trying to find proof of this giant Motormaster you speak of, but even in #22 the large bot is Menasaur, not Motormaster.

Well, There's no need for leadership class, Bot are given class for their ability, not their roles in movie or cartoon series.
But, there CAN be a Leadership synergies where each leader give different synergy to that of same faction.

Dude seriously? In Motormasters original form his trailer was his body. The ONLY part of him that the cab was was his feet. This is where his square boxy head originated....and yes Optimus had a trailer, but as we ALL know, it was an accessory that detached.
Why are you being so hard headed trying to prove how right you are? What could this argument POSSIBLY have to do with the point if my original post? Are you that desperate to be right about something that you have to argue about something that can be shown with a 3 second Google search and asking someone, like me, that unwrapped both Optimus and Motormaster from their original packaging when he was a kid?
The only explanation you could possibly give for MM not being big is the same explanation as to why Megatron and Soundwave became handheld devices.

Now yes, they use a different generation of Motormaster here, which is just lazy animation by the creators of the new generation.

Dude, you might want to take your own advice, first. The Stunticons first appeared in the Marvel comics in issue 22 "Heavy Traffic!" which was first published in July of 1986. Meanwhile they first appeared in the cartoon in "The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 1" which first aired on November 25, 1985.

And as for scale, while no one was really great about getting those right, and had plenty of slip ups, they would generally ballpark a relative size, and even in the comics, Motormaster was always portrayed to be around Prime and Megatron's height.
    Stunticonsmarvelg1.jpg

So, as for your initial comment on this:
    DrShotgun wrote: »

The Burden of proof lies on you to show where in canon the scale lines up that Motormaster is significantly larger. This is just one of those things that, if you want to go on the classic, canon interpretation of these characters, you gotta let them flub the scale. Otherwise, you'll get things like this:

Honestly man, as myself and Timberwolf have explained a couple times... Where in the hell are you getting this information that Motormaster is the size of a combiner? Both of us mentioned his first comic book appearance in issue #22. He's normal size.

Nowhere, and I mean NOWHERE can I find proof of this monster Motormaster. It doesn't take a 3 second Google search, because I've been hunting for days trying to find this giant Motormaster you speak of.

It doesn't matter if his trailer is part of his body (which it is) he still has never been portrayed as a 50-60ft tall robot. Consider it layers of armor which is why he is so hard to injure.

So please, show us where. A crappy picture of a Motormaster doesn't prove a thing. Toys don't prove a thing. I can go out and buy a huge Optimus Prime and then say "see? Optimus is HUGE compared to all the other bots"

Come on man. In every instance you see him in any comic, animation, or otherwise, his scale is the same as everyone around him.

At best he's slightly larger than Optimus the same way (G1) Grimlock is slightly larger than Optimus.

As for the version of Motormaster you "love" that version exists nowhere. It was just concept art.
  • SparkShredderSparkShredder Posts: 1,300
And it will have same ability and HP and attack. Makes no difference how he looks.
  • DrShotgunDrShotgun Posts: 2,157
I just dropped that concept art Because I wanted to share.
To be honest I've looked and looked for the article I found and cannot find it anywhere. I'm starting to think it was a wiki someone edited and it was corrected. I know Motormasters bio says he's brutal and commanding and such, and his vehicle mode makes sense he'd be bigger, but alas I cannot produce my reference material, and everything I have found since tells the same story you guys do, therefore I concede.
I do think it would be cool for him to be a giant, but that's just me.
I do still think Kabam should add some depth into this world. Make the leaders leaders. Make them stand out like I've heard they do in MCoC.
