Warning on Alliance mission crashes

Don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but I thought it would be good to put the word out.
One of our officers was in the middle of choosing the shattered lands map, and raising the difficulty to lvl 19.
In the middle of clicking the difficulty button, the game crashed. When he restarted the app, the alliance mission had defaulted to forgotten realms, lvl 1.
This is a huge blow for us, as we look forward to hitting the alpha essence milestone, and ranking high enough to earn a little extra alpha essence. We were on pace for it as usual.
We miss out this round, and support is unfortunately unable to do anything about it.
Just fair warning, it might happen to you one day, whether you have an unstable network connection or a crash at the wrong moment.

Could you provide some more information? Upon restarting the game, was the Alliance Mission already started, or was it just defaulted to the other Map and Difficulty 1?
Upon restarting the game, the alliance mission had started and was defaulted to map 1 difficulty 1.
We had no choice but to play the map. It sucked.
