This man singlehandedly (ok, with Bob Forward) reinvented Transformers.
Turned kid's (well written) stuff into a proper intelligent Sci Fi franchise.

Beast Wars had heart, fantastic writing, spectacular characters and was cutting edge.
Which Transformers have struggled with ever since (don't pretend IDW repeatedly reaches fanfic levels of cringe).

It's far harder achieving what the BW team did.
Easy enough for kids to digest, intellectually stimulating for adults.

RIP you absolute legend.
Larry di Tillio MAXIMISED the quality of entertainment, and TERRORISED the industry, to the point everyone had to play catch up in content standards.

RIP Mr DiTillio. Without you and Bob Forward, Im pretty sure Transformers wouldve been lost to the sands of time, a forgotten relic of the 80s. You revolutionised the brand, and set the storytelling bar for the next and all future generations of the franchise.
