DOT vs armor

Do damages caused by bleeds/shock/acid/burn/backfire bypass armor, or does the damage inflicted reflect the opponents armor ratings?
Always wondered that. I'd think shock, bleed, and backfire should ignore armor but burn and acid should be affected by armor.
Thoughts? Answers?

Yes and no. I don’t think Armor stops the exponential effect of DOT — at least for Shock. For example, if a heavy attack would draw 300 health normally but vs Armor it’s reduced to 270. Then if Shock applies 80% of attack over 5 seconds or something it would be applied fully and not reduced each time it ticks. However, the original baseline attack amount itself is affected by Armor but then doesn’t kick in again as the DOT applies.
