is 40 the maximum level in game?

so yesterday i reach to lvl 40 and since then i complete many story but my orange xp bar is blank its not increasing i want to know its in my profile error or bug?

    Right now level 40 is indeed the cap, although Kabam has hinted that may not always be the case

    I'm gonna just come out and say that this is not going to be the case forever. We do have plans to extend this in the future, and are looking into just how we want to roll that out at this time.

    Congratulations on hitting Level 40 though! That's an achievement!

    I can't get past level 35 regardless of how much xp I gain.

    Thank you Kabam Mike..but please do something for xp ASAP because now our xp is wasting
