Thundercracker not purifying burn from ramjet

Hi, I was fighting ramjet with my 4* awakened thundercracker and tried twice during the fight to purify a burn from ramjet on me by doing a heavy and nothing happened and I continued to burn. Is this a bug or am I doing it wrong?

    Was it in an arena?
    He has a synergy with Motormaster and Kickback (I think it's Kickback) that makes debuffs last longer unable to be purified.

    Yes its kickback...I have personally used mm and kickback together for maximum bleeds and shocks
