If they suit your PERSONAL STYLE, ABILITY, the best team could be Sideswipe, Hound and Mixmaster!
To ram home the issue: I'm absolute TOSH using Jetfire, G1 Prime, Shockwave, Prowl, MV1 Prime and Ironhide. Whom are EXCELLENT characters, just not my cuppa/skillset.
Scorponok Warrior, Tantrum brawler , OG prime tactician, Tech shockwave Wheeljack, mirage,Scout kickback jazz and bee Demo Megatronus ironhide and Galvatron
My list hasn't changed much since late August. Rhinox replaces Mirage as the 3rd best tech because of his modifications. I will say the improvements to Ultra Magnus and Grindor have improved their standing with me as well.
All in all, there are very few bots I hate these days. Even the Sharkticons have their usefulness as I assemble a team of 4* Sharkticons (led by S-1000) to Explore Easy and Medium Spotlight Missions. S-1000 may not have much health and attack stats, but the ability to replicate mods and provide continuous healing to the rest of the Shark team is underrated. Nowadays, it's less about throwing your 5 Strongest bots at a mission and more about who pairs up well Synergy-wise. BayCons, Beast Team, Sharks, the Prime/Ratchet/IH trio... whatever team provides the best synergies are usually going to beat a whole lot of Missions and Raids.
Brawler: Thundercracker. Nuff said.
Warrior: scorponok or bonecrusher
Scout: G1 bee or cheetor
Tech: ALL OF THEM
Demo: Tronus. And ironhide, galvatron, waspinator, ramjet... ok all of them.
Tactician: megatron, followed closely by cyclonus and G1 Prime.
Brawler: MV1 Prime [GOD TIER BRAWLER], Tantrum [Insane Damage]
Warrior: Scorponok(Backfire King), Drift(Bleed King)
Scout: Cheetor(Sometimes it's better to finish games fast), Jazz(Highest Critical Damage in entire game)
Tech: Basically all of them, but Shockwave just peaks because of his energy control.
Demo: Megatronus(was there ever a question?), Galvatron(MAD DAMAGE POTENTIAL), Ironhide(Crits, simple!)
Tactician: G1 Megatron(Debuff Fusion) == G1 Prime(Mass Destruction) == Cyclonus(Probably the best bot in Melee Combat in the entire game *not to forget his Dark Field and Nullify)
