Should i try to ATTEMPT master mode?

Recently I've been thinking, i can do expert well, but i need some better rewards for my bots. I don't have many rank 5s, but i typically use a squad of rank 5: (Optimus prime gs, Jazz, Wheeljack) a rank 4 megatronus soon to be r5, and a rank 2 5 star kickback. Should i attempt master mode? (for all/most spotlights)

No, Don't do it yet unless you have a squad of r5 four stars

Because i don't have very strong bots, like other people who do master, and could be significantly harder. I just need to know when it is optimal for me to take on master

Try chapter 1 and see how it goes. It gets significantly harder after that.

Yes, you should. I’d say use energon too. For me, once I got that T3A and was able to R4 a 5* it got so much easier. Master went from costing me 1000 energon, to 200, to zero in the span of 3 months. Make the leap and never look back.

So here's the bots i have with high rating, now i have never spent any currency on the game, so i don't know if my progress on these bots were good or not. Any recommended squads i should use? Or should i stick to the one i stated earlier?
Also i chose to rank up sideswipe cause he's a good defense bot for me.

By the way, i can rank up this cheetor here, he could be a replacement for kickback. But i dunno, should i save for one more tier 3 for a rank 3 KB, or should i just rank up cheetor and use him in master?

He’s definitely better for this month’s Last-ditch Repair mod. But imo KB > Cheetor if he’s not awakend nor is he on Beast team

    Optimus + WJ + Jazz + Tronus

WJ and Tronus will help you clear out the mobs. Save Jazz for miniboss/boss fights. His damage is insane if you can ramp up those attack buffs

Take that top row (OGP, WJ, KB, & Tronus). Tweak the 5th spot for what mod troubles you most aka a bot for 1 specific fight.

Forge Tronus to F100 if you can. The rest can stay as is.

Make videos of your fights. Post here. Receive feedback (that you can actually do). Master done.

Megatronus is already at forge 100, he's also duped.

It doesn't hurt to try. I mean there's a lot of mission energy if you stop at expert. Without trying Master, all you can do is to play story mode again and again to collect gold.

Dude I’m in the same boat....I can only get halfway thru 3.2 of expert. Kinda feel like I hit a wall there’s just not good enough rewards to make the next step. Arena not bad for practice but I can beat 7k bots cause there’s minimal mods and abilities but a 6k mv1 with his power flow and melee just destroys me

Definitely start with the 1st chapter of Master if it’s easy go to chapter 2, then with practice and stronger bots you’ll 100% it

If you can explore Expert, you can probably at the very least complete Ch. 1 of Master.

I completed my first Master Mission just now, and my verdict is: Go for it! I have explored Expert for a while, and Chapter 1.1, Easy Path is manageable. Be careful around the Mini-Boss & Boss; otherwise, you’ll be fine.

If you plan on do the initial clear, no.
    A chapter, or 2, it’s worth a try.

Save up those bot repair kits that you get from daily missions to help reduce your energon usage. You should be able to get through chap 1. Save up your energon to help you get through master. Don’t waste them on bot crystals. I would also look at your masteries, a bit curious why a maxed forged Megatronus is only 3,400 rating. Remember to use your boosts and spotlight relics too.

    It's still at rank 4

There is a path without mods through each of the missions making completion of Master a doable task. The boss might be a bit hard, but give it a shot :)

Also i managed to do master 1.1 and 1.2. Wasn't that bad, but that wasp was so annoying, with the scorponok too.

This varies month to month but I would say that MV1 (Boss on Ch 3.1) is giving folks the toughest time. Although Nemesis’ A.I. is pretty easy, he will be a challenging fight if you are using R4/4* bots simply because it’s like 2 fights given how much he heals after getting below the 20% mark.

You’ll also need specialists for JF on Ch 2 and possibly S-1000 (he replicates).

Here are notes from a couple weeks ago when I made my run through the Hardest Master paths. Sorry, I didn’t keep notes for the Easy/non-modded Paths.

    Master Spotlight (July 2019)

    Ch 2.1 (Jetfire as boss)
    - hard path mod: reflect ranged
    - JF was no joke between his party and reflect mod. Highly recommend someone with strong DOT as you won’t be able to land a high volume of hits

    Ch 2.2 (TC as boss)
    - Hard path mod: Power Flow
    - mini boss is S-1000 who replicates buffs

    Ch 3.1 (MV1 as boss)
    - Hard path mod: Power Charge (8 hits like Cyclonus in AM)
    - Grimlock is the first bot
    - MV1 will hurt you badly when his Sig kicks in so just hang back at the end

    Ch 3.2 (Nemesis as boss)
    - Hard path mod: Power Start (1 bar)
    - 2 Sharks (Brawler and Warrior). The armor on the shark is crazy strong
    - Mini boss is Shocky (Increased Ranged Damage mod)

Thanks, but for JF. i should bring kickback, right? Or can it be any bot with dot?

KB is def a good choice for JF — mainly because KB’s heavy can’t be parry’d (I think). At least it can’t be reflected.

They’re pretty easy this month. I’d say JF and TC gave me a hard time clearing them. MV1 requires you to play less aggressively, that’s it, his specials and attacks are easy to dodge as his AI wasn’t annoying. Nemesis is a literally joke, if you think Kickback was easy, if you think Grimlock in ROK is easy, if you think act 1 Megatron is easy, just wait until you see Nemesis in this new spotlight.

You’ll probably need KB to combat the boss in 1.1 (Soundwave and that nasty Sonic Shield... Melee Damage boosted by 150% hurts too). Tantrum is the mini-Boss in 1.1. Can’t remember much about him... he gave me little issue.

Waspinator is the mini-Boss in 1.2. Watch out for Ranged Stack Shock. That ripped through my NJ and caught me off-guard. Scorponok is the boss & among other things, he has 75% Physical Resistance.

movie bee is the miniboss for 3.1, i guess he's difficult?
