I think some calendars are just slightly delayed by one day... some in my alliance received the 4* Rhinox already, and some - myself included - aren't scheduled to receive it until later today when the calendar day rolls over to the next.
But since everyone already received the award for August 31 (which has since been removed from the calendar), we shouldn't have problems receiving the last reward on the calendar.

Looked thru emails, couldn't find it.
Wasn't the previous compensation for the months leading to this?
It was the fix to the first calendar bug. Kabam sent the shards for that day to everyone via in-game mail, then removed Aug 31 from the calendar. So you already have received that login reward.
