Earlier for traversing each node only a single mission energy was used. but nowadays for each node traversed double mission energy is consumed.
Only change is I now have a three star bot in squad instead of the usual two star bot squad

Maybe you are doing act 2 instead of act 1. It requires 2 energy per node instead of one.
