Not a bug, but annoying

After losing a fight in story quest, the game takes you all of the way back to the map. You then have to move back into the node again, which usually requires rotating the camera angle since your avatar is standing right in front of the node, before it brings up the bot selection screen. Why not just refresh back to the selection screen after a KO?
