    Some Blaster stats for reference. He’s not the best bot by any means - not even best Tech. However he is fun to use and produces some of the weirdest fight dynamics. His interference ability def confuses the game up a bit. He can also do the kamikaze-dash through a ranged shot maneuver too.

    It depends on your playstyle. Soundwave is better for a predominantly Melee style, while Blaster specialises in Ranged matches. Use what you're comfy with.

    I used to be pro-Soundwave and anti-Blaster, but having used Blaster a bit more and become more familiar with his kit, he's better than Soundwave for sure

    Soundwave is good but not good enough. Blaster can be used for basically any game mode u want. He is useful for both RoK and RotK, this is how. In RoK Mirage, just land a few ranged attacks and you will probably never see a shock from his ranged. In RotK, you can just play blaster against blaster, because of the ranged damage mod, he would probably be your best pick. Just land a few ranged hits and you'll probably be good. Soundwave will definitely need a buff imo. Maybe increased damage added into special 3? The special might be the weakest special in the game!

    Soundwave I really think can be a monster but it's because of his sig and it needs to be at a really high lvl so it can be depended on.

    basically want it at 100 for 90% chance I think. Before 5*'s came out I used a 4* Soundwave with 100 sig and used to
    time the reflect on Galv's SP2 - it was brutal (for Galv) but the odd time it didn't work, it was horrible for me.

    For the characters, definitely soundwave, but for actual usefulness in game, blaster. No contest.

    Blaster is the only counter to modded wasp / arcee / mirage / starscream

    And after a gaining a few buffs his range attacks and sp become quite formidable

    Soundwave has... An unreliable sp1 power drain

    Soundwave was always a consistent and stable bot in the game... Hard to avoid his heavy (for player and AI too), shock damage, some power drain... but the most important is he has the ability to gain power passively. If you land a heavy you get 2 bar of power slowly..then if you land a sp2 you can get all 3 bar (oh and its cumulative so if you do a sp2 and after it landing a heavy.. you get power much faster....OR another sp2 which has pretty good dmg)
    Ranged reflect and the stun on sp3 is just a little add ons.

    I just have him at rank 2 but I always thougth Soundwave is a really stable bot with no major weaknesses..

    Blaster need to gain his amp charges with sp1 3 times to do some damage. And his projectile slowing is not a bad thing but if you can dodge properly, you can dodge ranged projectiles even if it's Waspi below 50% HP.. because the fights have a rhythm and you can dodge almost before the enemy shooting :) Blaster can heal but it needs really high sig lvl to worth it and its not guaranteed heal.. and in higher lvl if it's not triggering, you lose health because of the blocked projectile dmg is higher than that rarely triggered heal 🤷‍♂️

    And maybe the synergies of Soundwave are better..in my opinion :)

    Jetfire is a good counter to range modded bots, as is Scorponok with his daze debuff.
