How are raid chips scored?

One if my teammates raided my base the other day. I had about 208 chips in my inventory because I spent them all before bed. I only lost 188 but he won over 7400.
How are these awarded?

    I've been wondering the same thing, how much does the raid target's chip stash contribute versus the target's base rating?

    Each base defense level grants x amount of chips a 10k base gives like 7k chips plus roughly 10% of the chip holders stash

    Ahh so there's a set amount based on base rating?

    Yes. From experience, your raid income is roughly:
    (Base rating - 4000) + 11% * Chips at hand when raid started.

    Except it doesn't seem to take into account what the higher ranked 3/4* mods add to the total. The level reported at the beginning of the raid doesnt either. Annoying to slog through what's really a 12k base for less than 6k chips.
