Unfazed Mastery

What exactly defines when an enemy evades to trigger Unstoppable? And if an enemy regulary sidesteps out of the way, does that trigger it?

  • Following. I'm guessing it's the system evasion.

My understanding is that when they use language to describe it like this it literally means whenever you see the word Evasion appear in green under your health bar, you have X% chance to trigger Unstoppable. So basically bots like, Sideswipe, Barricade, G1 Bee, Bee, Prowl, Hot Rod, Drift, and Arcee could use this.

In my opinion, even maxed out, gaining 85% attack rating for one hit seems kinda meh and usually when you evade a hit you already have an open chance to counter combo, so the Unstoppable part seems kinda superfluous anyway.

The times where it could be useful would be in instances like the most difficult lane in Expert Spotlights, where the AI blocks any attempt to countercombo them after they get a combo in.

Anyone else have another take on it?

This is my take on unfazed.

    It sucks.

Why? Because it never gives you a visual if you trigger unstoppable.

You have a 50% chance to gain unstoppable and you can't even tell if you did.. so you have to kamikaze into your opponent hoping you absorb the counterattack (a la Motormaster), and there's a 50/50 chance you eat a high powered combo by doing so since you go in blind.

It's the biggest waste of energon you can make in the entire mastery tree. For what it costs to max that skill, it should be designed better. All the way from a visual cue you've triggered unstoppable, and a higher trigger rate overall.

And yes, to clarify it only works when the enemy actually evades using the evasion skill.

@Synthwave, I think it's when your enemy evades, you become unstoppable to prevent them punishing you right away. Should they dash back trying to hit you, you have unstoppable and can easily land your buffed counterhit.
If I'm seeing 100% chance to become unstoppable, I will still hesitate activating it at 350 energons, now it's 16%.

When a bot backsteps or sidesteps your attacks, that is not an "evade". Evade is a specific skill that when the bot does it, you will see in green floating text next to the bot "Evade". So this mastery is somewhat limited in that it will only work against bots who have Evade as a skill or as a buff from a mod, and will only work when the Evade skill triggers...and even then its still a chance on if it will proc.

I also tend to find the bots that already have the "Evade" skill, tend to be the same bots who love to back/side step your attacks like crazy to begin with.

lol, you're absolutely right. Was too tired when I read the description last night. Regardless if it's your bot or the opponents, the extra damage for one hit or gaining unstoppable for 1 second just isn't worth it for me (which is obviously why I haven't unlocked it). As it is setup right now, it should be a mastery that uses standard cores instead of the advanced ones.

Anyone who actually spent the energon on this wanna comment? Are we missing something incredible about it?
