Question about Masteries

Been playing this game since beta, but haven’t invested any energon into a single core or really explored masteries much since they were implemented. I tend to save all my energon for feature crystals.
Anyways, I have a possibly very stupid question.
Do the effects of these stack? For example:
Does it only climb to a total of 5%?
Or, does it stack along the way, for a total of 15%? I’m assuming the former.
