Critical boost vs attack rating boost

Which would be better? I'm referencing the leadership synergies of the 5*s...I have Barricade (critical), Grindor (attack), and Ultra Magnus (armor)....all good boosts, especially for those more challenging opponents, but I've always wondered in the long run whether critical or attack buffs would be better.

    Attack is certainly more available for all bots and it applies to critical damage as well. Barry is good company to Grindor, better if you have Demotron.

    Crit rate or crit damage is always better. A crit attack is worth 3x a normal attack

    Attack rating boost: Increases both regular and crit damage

    Is it worth putting points into Critical rate mastery seeing that it only gives a max of 4% increase?

    A 5* Scout gives way more than that.

    True. Synergies seem to outweigh masteries
