I watched it last night. No spoilers. Yeah I liked it. Good story and you can actually see what is happening during the fight scenes. Great homage to G1

TBF, I've not seen the movie, but am DIGGING THE RESPECT shown to the original, G1 designs.
Never thought I'd be able to IMMEDIATELY identify a MV Bot at a glance.
And they apparently behave like their G1 selves, too.
Plus the story is decidedly good.
So what's this i hear about the movie only making $20M it's first weekend?

Problem is it has to overcome the 5 films before it that generally left a bad taste in the masses mouths.
NO SPOILERS:
Just got back from a screening.
I'm no film snob, but i do appreciate wit, art, cinematography, humor and spectacle in movies.
This film brought me back to the days of Never-ending Story, Princess Bride, etc.
For a real Transformers fan, this film is magical.
For a movie fan, this movie has character development, touches of just enough SciFi, good camera work and a great soundtrack plus decent characters and performances.
Hailee Steinfeld has some future ahead. Her performance is faultless. What a fantastic role model for young women.
And boys, she's top totty, don't let the makeup and wardrobe for you.
The Transformers showed more personality in 5 min of screen time than the other movies combined (near 14hr!!!)
And they get A LOT of screen time!
The action is great and serves the plot. There are tactics involved, FFS.
I'll make this quick.
Get your kids, get your family, get your friends, get your coworkers to watch this film.
It may have had a bad debut, but gosh it deserves to succeed.
Truly worth the 95% on RT.
Just watched the movie. The script, story, plots are very simple, weakest compared to previous series. But it still the best Transformers film by a mile.

BOTH Bumblebee 2 and Beast Wars in simultaneous pre-production.
Let's hope they're more Bumblebee Movie than TLK in terms of quality.
And Beast Wars is the real Kong v Gojira that I'm excited about!
Maybe we can get some cool events and game modes and Kabam TFTF social media promotion to go along with this movie like how we did with the first one.
