Commanders,
Thought I'd get some input from the community to help players such as myself (of moderate skill, or worse) to better tackle individual bots in AM Map 3.
Bots mentioned are equipped to handle AI as effective, quickly as possible.
Elaborate if possible/left field.
Here are my findings:
Windblade: Bonecrusher, MM
Primal: Cyclonus, G1 Megs, OGP, Grindor, Motormaster
Cheetor: Bonecrusher, KB
G1 Megs: MV Megs, Ironhide
Hotrod: MM, Grindor, Primal, Bonecrusher, Arcee, Kickback, Blaster, TC
Waspinator: Grindor, Rhinox, Prowl, Blaster, Soundwave, Arcee
Starscream: Galvatron, MV Megs, Ironhide, Cyclonus, Rhinox, Kickback
Shockwave: KB, Prowl, Rhinox
Scorponok: MM, Grindor, Grimlock, Primal, Thundercracker
KB: Bonecrusher, MM
Rhinox: Barricade, Kickback, Sideswipe
Cyclonus: Galvatron, Megatronus, MV Megs, Ironhide
Tronus: Bonecrusher, Rhinox, Kickback, Wheeljack, Blaster, Jetfire
(This is for 3.01-3.50, let's help each other get better!)

They're just options...
Reasoning and method, please
EDIT: thanks @Technobot , reason I'm starting this thread is there are plenty of people (some in my AM) that don't have much confidence handling said bosses.
Plus I'm THRASH tackling Shockwave in AM, which is weird since i love beating his R5 5* in raids or missions.
The answer for everything is Megatronus. But if you don’t have him, beast team is also a good option.
AM bosses:
Og megatron - megatronus
Shockwave - megatronus or primal
Megatronus - megatronus
Quite like
"Hey, i have those bots, and my AM pal have some others. We can TAKE TURNS/COORDINATE and share the load/get better!''
Especially since not many own a 5* R5 Tronus.
I myself have been the go-to for old Map 3 bosses, and current map 3 OG Megs and Tronus.
What I'm attempting is for players of all skills to try, be bold, etc as itll help weaker alliances.
I love this game!
AM Boss Notes:
OG Megs:
Ideal attributes for bots to use against OGM:
- ranged heavy (because Basic Ranged is essentially off the table)
- DOT (Damage Over Time) because you often have to hang back and the added damage is helpful.
Recommended Bots (in random order):
- Tronus
- IH
- Shocky
Other Considerations:
- Common patterns like Basic Ranged into a dash and sequential heavies when he is at full power. Find it best to hang back and use that time to position yourself on the map.
- Unstoppable after being knocked down so best to not press him with risky attacks like dashing in when he is just getting up (which can certainly work)
- Put your Basic Ranged blasters Away. If you must fire once to position yourself than so be it but it’s best to learn movement patterns that don’t require you to shoot.
Shockwave:
Ideal attributes for bots to use against Shocky:
- Power Control. Obviously this is always helpful, but even more so needed given the mod in play.
- Basic Ranged that are physical attack type like Bludgeon, Drift, & KB. These types of attacks do NOT convert into shock charges when Shocky blocks them which he will often.
Recommended Bots (in random order):
- Tronus
- Shocky
- KB
- Bludgeon
- All Scouts
Other Considerations:
- You absolutely cannot take hits that lead to shock. It will kill you. Whether it’s his SP1 or Basic Ranged. Better off blocking than taking the shock.
- His AI is pretty simple. His SP1 and SP2 can reliably be baited after knocking him down. Doing the auto-forward walk or even blocking nearby as he is getting up can draw it out.
- When he dashes in, punch him in the face. I find his dash to be very predictable because of his animation. Learn to spot it and you can counter.
Galvatron:
Ideal attributes for bots to use against Galvatron:
- Heavy ranged that can cut through his barrage of Basic Ranged
- DOT because his AI is to hang back and shoot
Recommended Bots (in random order):
- Tronus
- IH
- Shocky
- Jetfire (parry his heavy)
Other Considerations:
- Constantly monitor his block time. If my internal clock has him blocking for 2-3 seconds or more, I hang back for fear of him triggering Will of Unicron.
- Use his reactive Basic Ranged behavior against him. I like to shoot once than side step right away. If done quickly, you can create a window because he will shoot 3 Basic Ranged.
- You can disrupt his SP2. Very risky, so don’t do this unless you master it.
Cyclonus:
Ideal attributes for bots to use against Galvatron:
- Heavy ranged to help keep distance from his Dark Shield.
- DOT because you have to hang back when his Power Charge meter is close to 8.
- Power Control as a direct counter to his Power Charge mod.
Recommended Bots (in random order):
- Tronus
- IH
- Shocky
- Prowl
Other Considerations:
- Be disciplined in combos. Instead of the usual 5-7 hits, limit those to 2-3 and take what you can before triggering his Dark Field.
- His SP1 can be dodged fairly easily with some faith in timing. Specific to his 2nd hit (the overhand sword). You can literally wait until the last split second even against a wall and still dodge it.
For example: WB & Primal - anyone works for WB and would be good to have a tact for Primal.
Something else about Cyclonus. He has the switching resistance between Melee & Energon attacks. If you can modify your attacks accordingly, you can do some damage at the right moment... example: I used Ironhide against Cyclonus and got the power up to SP3 level, then I waited until Cyclonus was 1/2 way through Energy Resistance before launching the SP3. Melee hit to start, then Cyclonus switched to Melee Resistance right before the up-close blast. Even unduped, my R2 5* Ironhide did some big damage.
He cycles thru different stages of invulnerability now
Or am i going whack
Welcome change if yes
he also a similar AM primal bug where if you're not the first player to fight him, he'll get all three resistance. BUT this could just be a visual bug, where the words just states all three... I never really checked - too focus on not getting life stealed.
