Mirage can do pretty much anything, not sure how he's less versatile than Ratchet. He hits harder, has a way to burn power, can stack attack buffs with evades, can chain stun, and has a shield against ranged attacks, especially crits.
Ratchet has shocks and a half-assed heal that you can honestly ignore unless he has a mod buffing it. A decent power gain, sure, but his S1 does zip, his S2 heals are only worth anything at less than 20% health, and his S3 is amazing but you've already been beaten into slag by then.

Ssshhhh, let them talk down Rat so he doesn’t get too much attention. He isn’t for everyone.
I was gonna stay quiet but there's only so much I can let them talk bad about Rat lol. Yes he don't have close to the attack power every other bot has but healing>attack anytime. Plus with his sig at a high level he becomes unbeatable.

I would only feed him if I got a 5* rat. He's to valuable to feed now plus there's no guarantee I'll get him back.

I get what you're saying, but when I say Mirage is a specialist, I mean for things like Spotlight. I use Mirage way more than I use Ratchet in Spotlight. But AM is a totally different story. With the D-level some us Ratchet fans run at, if you were to place Mirage and Ratchet in a side-by-side race to the end, Ratchet is gonna cross that finish line without reviving before Mirage does. If you wanna use revives and repairs, Mirage will suit your AM needs for sure.
Now, is Ratchet as sexy as Mirage and his skillset? Heck no. But he gets the job done. It's like cheering on the rabbit in the classic tortoise vs. the hare story. Sure that rabbit looks confident and looks like he's got all the female rabbits hot and bothered at the start of that race, but you know da*n well that turtle is gonna win that race lol.
I just feel abit disappointed about ratchet, some of you may he is really good. I agree with all of you that he help heal prime and ironhide a lot and maybe he very good at high level. I personally have a 4 star r4 ratchet , but a bot that can't stand on its own will it be really good ? Ya. He is a doctor, but when he is bleeding, he can heal himself like grimlock?

Hmm I suppose you have a point there. I'm still a bigger fan of Mirage, but honestly Ratchet isn't bad. Kabam has done a great job of keeping the roster balanced and every bot has fans. Once Jazz shows up (and I somehow get a 4* Optimus) I may have to run a new team, see how Ratchet plays in AM
Thanks guys. I r5 my 4s Ratchet forged 100%. I am running him in AM now with OgPrime and BC. I don't have IH as Kabam refuses to give him to me lol. Ratchet certainly hits harder at r5 and has better shock damage. Let's see how he goes and hope he saved me revives.
As a bot he may be a tad underwhelming, but I dunno if anyone has mentioned the synergy with optimus. Everyone knows about it, but he gets paired with a power house who does all of the work anyway, so who cares.

I beat RotK without Ratchet. Used Shockwave, CW Mega, Soundwave, Starscream and Galvatron...

Actually mirage is better than ratchet, Ratchet is important for awful players , I can imagine @Jay32 ‘s slap hahhaha
The one change I would love to see with ratchet is a power debuff with his ranged shock. I think adding some mild power control to him would really round out his play style.
