So I just bought the Black Convoy Tommy Takara Masterpiece Figure and love him.
Does anyone have any recommendations for other Masterpiece Figures?
I want to get Soundwave, Grimlock (no crown) and Megatron but don’t know if they are the standouts in the collection or which versions are best.
So for me my top MPs are:
Megatron (this guy is genius)
Shockwave (but Im a Shockwave tragic)
All the BW MPs
Inferno (Surprisingly good, his transformation is magic)
Prowl (Still amazing)
Movie Bee (Camaro)
Movie Barricade
Soundwave doesnt quite stand properly, but it could be my particular toy, the ratchets in each leg have slighly different stages and he is a bit creaky. Paint chipping and fragile cassettebots are also an issue (My Lazerbeaks head snapped clean off).
Grimlock is good but hes a bit out of scale with modern MPs and his arm articulation isnt the best. If you want a really good Grim (or just Dinos in general) check out FansToys Iron Dibots range (3P Dinobots)
My full masterpiece collection, I have many other transformers but they would not fit there lol, also have a few dragon ball figures.
That clay prime I made recently too I’m quite proud of that since I’m not experienced with clay

I've never figured out the appeal of the statue market. They are wicked expensive and don't even transform!
