Bots that you think are Great to play with but are Horrible at Base defenders

So I noticed this last night and really started to think about it after I raided someones base.
Why is it the AI for certain bots is completely horrible when the Bots them selves are actually really good.
In my personal opinion I think OG Prime is the biggest culprit. OG Prime him self is a Fantastic Bot but it seems like when ever I put him on my base or come against one on someone else base he is a total push over.
Anyone else experience this phenomenon?

Or any of these:
- MV Prime
- Optimus Primal
- Starscream
- G1 Megatron
- Scorponok
- Jazz
Now the OPPOSITE:
- Mixmaster
- Waspinator
- Sideswipe
- Jetfire
Not sure if I agree with the Primal I have come across some pretty hard ones before. especially ones on the security Mod , it just takes flipping FOREVER to get through the match.
COMPLETELY agree with the G1 Megs complete Push over
Starscream sucks on base defense
Jazz= Blows
Scorponok-I have seen him do some damage to people on my base when I had him on a 4 star RR
I just wonder why the AI sucks so bad with some of these bots?
He's just such a pushover for CYCLONUS.
Cyclonus' Dark Field technically renders him powerless, plus his SP1 just cuts through him.
It's extremely likely you'll even win perfect, give it a shot.
My 4500pi 4* R5 takes down 10K Primal with utter ease.
A 6K version literally lasts 30sec!
Motormaster (4* 4400pi) also makes short work of him, in a pinch.
Which is also my top choice vs. Scorponok (highest encountered: 9000pi, tech console)
Only his SP1 sometimes gets through.
Won't reach SP2, he'll be dead by then!
Just put Scream on a high sig level Nightbird's Mark, you'll see the magic
Now, for the actual list:
- Bludgeon
- Drift
- Windblade
- Shockwave
- Ratchet
- Jazz
- Ironhide
- G1 Megs
Plus many others
I get he heals quickly, but a WOUNDED Motormaster is a beautiful thing.
TBF, Arcee with Laser G is far more damaging to the leader of the Stunticons.
Every ranged is a darn Headshot.
Here's a geezer i sorted out in arenas, 2 minutes ago
Not quickly, he actually heals for more damage than you do because he heals a % of damage, and it is amplified by the tech console to >100%
I just want to say I love how you're always quoting the PI stat like it means something, always makes me chuckle. Reminds me of DreamBliss!
Anyway, typically I find the AI is useless with bots that have offensive abilities but defensive abilities help them. The AI does not utilise the timings and combos we do, so is bad with bots that require attack because so many players are good at dodging now. But evaders and blockers and tanks, jeez. Grindor is easy but takes a long time so likelihood of glitch or mistake increases. Same with Primal. Arcee is a pain because of ranged evade, Sideswipe and Bee are a pain for the same reasons... Jetfire's reflect is irritating as hell, Mixmasters concussive block can be irritating as hell too. Dinobot is annoying when he goes in to block forever mode.
Mirage and Galvatron are annoying too because they just stand back and shoot and dodge forever.
Starscream is one of those bots that if you make a mistake, you can pay for it BIG time, especially if you take the wrong bot and make a mistake, like UM or DOTM Bee, where you are stacking buffs you didn't really think about...
Not everyone on the forums get random, throwaway mentions.
A noob won't get squat what most punters here are talking about.
I include numbers to help the community.
Just enough info.
You comparing me to dreambliss is insulting beyond belief.
Hahaha sorry, it wasn't mean as an insult
it's just he's the only other person I've seen use PI as a sort of yardstick.
Here's a tip on Tech Scorponok...
Attack him while he's blocking as much as possible.
Tech mod can't cap block damage, and Scorponok heals do not trigger from block damage.
You'll find he dies rather easily this way
but if you make a mistake you generally eat a lot of damage
Put bonecrusher on harm accelerator
Eh, Shockwave's moveset is so predictable that it's hard to make a mistake.
But there is no denying that a Shock can be damaging, it's just hard to get shocked.
Shockwave doesn't like you very much
But I love using him. Definitely the best Tech in the game..... even if my Shockwave us just a 3 Star.... RNG hates me.
Grimlock, MV1 Optimus and the Beast Wars bots say hi
He becomes almost useless at a certain level. Almost everyone will have a counter and knows how to fight him.
never underestimate the power of lag and glitches
Edit: opposite of what OP asked, I know, my bad.
Thank you, next!
Bonecrusher is obsolete, heck if you have high leveled demo bot, you can melt it without losing 5% due the harm accelerator.
Worth to mention Cheetor - love to play with him. He hits like a truck but on base defense, no matter the mod, he's simply passive.
BTW, for the guy with Wasp + Laser Guidance, my Shockwave wants to say hi. Easiest demo bot on base defense. Totally predictable, no matter the speed of his shots.
Waspinator + LG is pretty effective against range masters, but terrible against a maxed MOTORMASTER, or high level Prowl.
All about hacking him to bits.
Out of boredom, challenged myself to defeat an entire 38K base with just maxed 4* Motormaster.
Surprisingly, hardest opponent was an Arcee 5*.
Even Tronus 5* on RR is getting predictable.
Melee+Parry is your friend.
